Hello Community Partners,
Albany County was recently funded additional CARES Act funding in the amount of $772,627.38 through the State of Wyoming. This funding is to be distributed to the County’s Charitable Organizations that qualify as tax exempt under Section 501( c)(3) or Section 501( c)(19) that have provided COVID-19 related relief to the Albany County community through the provision of goods, services or direct payments.
While this is exciting news, this means we have a very short turnaround time to get these funds out. Due to the CARES Act rules as they sit today, Albany County needs to get payment out to its Charitable Community Partners by Dec 30, 2020. With this deadline quickly approaching and to give the Charitable Community Partners a chance to request funding, Albany County has decided to put together a quick application for Charitable Community Partners to submit for reimbursement requests for COVID-19 related expenses that were expended between March 19, 2020 and December 30, 2020.
The State of Wyoming Governor’s office has issued rules and regulations on these funds which is attached.
Please find the attached application with instructions and rules as well as the Community Charitable Relief Program Grantee Certification Form. Albany County is asking that in submitting your application and certification form, that you also submit an attachment listing the expenses you are seeking reimbursement for with the date of purchase, vendor, and amount.
All applications are due NO LATER than Tuesday, January 12th, 2020 at 12:00 pm. Please email all applications and attachments to grants@co.albany.wy.us. The Albany County Commissioners will hold a special meeting on Monday, December 28th at Noon to discuss allocations for each organization that has submitted an application.
Please feel free to pass this along to other Charitable Community Partners, but please be advised that not every organization will qualify.
We do apologize for the very short turnaround and hope that we can help as many of our Charitable Community Partners as possible.
