[ARCHIVED] Pre-Evacuation Notice for Foxborough and Fox Park

Due to concerns with wind direction and anticipated fire spread, the national forest service has expanded their closure map to better allow fire resources to assist where needed. Because of the concern from both the Forest service and Albany county Sheriff's office, Albany county emergency management agency has issued a pre-evacuation notice to the communities of Foxborough and Fox Park. To better understand how to prepare, please visit the Albany county website for more information.

  • The Mullen Fire area closure applies to all National Forest System land, recreation sites, trails, and roads within the closure boundaries.
  • Private land owners within the area closure boundaries should be in contact with Albany County authorities regarding pre-evacuation and evacuation notices.
  • Once private land owners have left the area closure, they may not re-enter the area until a process is developed by Albany County and the USDA Forest Service.
