Real Estate

About

The Real Estate Department houses all the land records from 1865 to the present. All land documents, such as Deeds, Mortgages, Tax Liens, Easements, Subdivision Plats, DD-214’s, and all other various land transactions that affect real property in Albany County are recorded in this office.

Computers

The office has two computer stations available for public use and research. All land transactions since October 1997 are accessible on the computer. Documents prior to that date can be researched in the physical tract books located in the Real Estate Office and indexed by legal description.

Deeds

All deeds recorded require the original Statement of Consideration Form (PDF) (SOC) to accompany the document. Please fill out this form completely and have it signed and dated by the buyer. The State Board of Equalization Website may serve as an additional resource.

All the land records, except DD-214’s, are available for public inspection from 9 am to 5 pm.
