Watch for WYDOT personnel and reduced speeds on Highway 230

Public Service Announcement

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT - (March 27, 2015)

Motorists in southeast Wyoming are advised to watch for WYDOT personnel and reduced speeds on Highway 230 roughly ten miles from the Colorado border and then again five miles from the border.

WYDOT geologists on Friday will be drilling roadway core samples in those areas to determine the cause of high moisture content where the road surface is buckling severely.

Drivers should be alert for flaggers and lane restrictions. There are currently no new weight restrictions in these areas but that my change depending on the geologists' findings.

Damage to WY 230 at MP 36.8

Media needing more information, please contact Ross Doman with WYDOT in Laramie at 307-760-2858
