Notice of FORMATION AND INITIAL DIRECTORS election
of POPE SPRINGS COMMUNITY SPECIAL ROAD IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

Albany County, Wyoming

 

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that a formation and initial directors election for the proposed POPE SPRINGS COMMUNTIY SPECIAL ROAD IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.

The election will be conducted by a vote-by-mail ballot, which will be mailed to each qualified elector in the proposed district no sooner than 25 days prior to the election, and be made available no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the election. Ballots must be received in the County Clerk’s Office by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the election in order to be counted.

At said election the electors of the proposed district shall vote “for” or “against” the organization of said district.

THE GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE PROPOSED DISTRICT shall be to improve and maintain the community access roads, and to provide legal access to properties within the district boundaries.  

Any qualified elector of the district may file an application for Director between the dates listed below.

DATE OF THE ELECTION:                    Tuesday, May 29, 2018

POLLING PLACE:                                 Albany County Clerk’s Office

                                                               Courthouse, Room 202

                                                               Laramie, WY  82070

Polling PLACE HOURS:                         9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

FILING OFFICER:                                  Albany County Clerk

OFFICERS TO BE ELECTED:

            THREE (3)                                  DISTRICT DIRECTORS                 2 year term

            TWO (2)                                     DISTRICT DIRECTOR                   4 year term

FILING DATES AND OFFICE:

April 20, 2018-April 30, 2018                File application for District Director with the County

                                                               Clerk’s Office.

An “Elector” or “Voter” means a person who is a qualified elector or an owner of land in the district, including any corporation, partnership or association owning land in the district provided the individual who casts the vote for a corporation, partnership or association presents the election judge with a written authorization to vote for the corporation, partnership or association. No person is a qualified elector who is under eighteen (18) years of age, a mentally incompetent person, or who has been convicted of a felony and his civil or voting rights have not been restored.
