  • Media Release Fire Restrictions and Ban for Albany County Fire District #1

Description: Albany County Fire Warden has imposed open fire restrictions and ban on the use of fireworks beginning July 5, 2018 at 1201 am on all non-federal land within Albany County Fire District #1. This area is defined as South of Highway 34, an area map is attached. The potentially sever to extreme fire situation exists throughout Albany County, created by a heavy fuel load and dry conditions that could create situations that over-extend the firefighting capability of local government. Additionally, high fire danger may be aggravated by open burning and use of incendiary devices.

The Emergency Resolution was signed by the Albany County Commissioners on July 3, 2018.
