The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on October 24th at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be held in the Board of County Commissioner’s Room of the Albany County Courthouse. The zoning resolution describes the land use regulations of the County and includes written standards and a zoning map. If adopted, these standards may affect a property’s future land use. The public is encouraged to review the zoning resolution, including the maps, and submit comments. The major changes to the zoning regulations include the addition of zoning districts consistent with the adopted comprehensive plan and the addition of an official zoning map. Comments should be provided to the Albany County Planning Office in written form (letter, email, fax). All written comments should be submitted prior to the day of the hearing to become part of the record.
