Welcome to the Albany County Human Resources Office. The main focus of Human Resources is to provide services and support for employees, retirees, applicants, department heads, elected officials and the community.
Albany County Government employs approximately 130 full-time and part-time employees in 22 departments.
Human Resources provides services in the following areas:
- Benefits – insurance and retirement, FMLA, ADA and Workers’ Compensation
- Employment – job opportunities, I9s and job summaries
- Employee Relations – employee handbook, employee assistance program, evaluations and policies and procedures.
- Training and Professional Development – trainings offered by HR and LGLP
